Haná Cup 2027
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
The Haná Cup was created with the ambition to establish a traditional international youth tournament in Olomouc, combining high-quality athletic competition, professional organization, and the attractive setting of one of Moravia's most beautiful cities. The inaugural edition is being prepared for the U8, U9, U10, and U11 age categories. The organizers aim to gradually bring teams to Olomouc not only from the Czech Republic, but also from Slovakia, Poland, Austria, Hungary, and other European countries. "Our goal is not just to create another weekend football tournament. We want to build an event that children, coaches, and parents will love coming back to, and one that will be long associated with Olomouc and the entire Haná region. High-quality international competition, a fair environment, and above all, a memorable experience for young male and female footballers are what matter most to us."

TOURNAMENT PROPOSITION AND RULES
1. Introductory Provisions
Haná Cup 2027 is an international youth football tournament taking place on March 19–21, 2027, in Olomouc, designed for boys and girls in the U8, U9, U10, and U11 categories.
The tournament organizer is Moderní fotbal s.r.o., Company ID (IČ): 24851701, registered address 1. máje 403, Klecany, Postcode 25067. The main tournament organizers are Hana Nováková and Tomáš Klečka (see Article 14 for contacts). The Tournament Director is Hana Nováková.
These rules establish the binding conditions for participation, the competition system, and the organizational and safety provisions of the tournament. By submitting an application, the sending club agrees to these rules and commits to complying with them.
2. Date, Venue, and Playing Fields
The tournament takes place from March 19 to 21, 2027 (Friday – arrival, accommodation, and group draw; Saturday – group stage; Sunday – finals stage and award ceremony).
Matches will be played across two venues:
• FK Nové Sady – Lesní 744/3, Olomouc, 779 00
• 1. HFK Olomouc – Staškova 652/28, Olomouc-Holice, 783 71
The allocation of categories and groups between the respective venues will be determined by the organizer in the final match schedule released prior to the start of the tournament.
3. Applications and Participation
Team registration is completed via the tournament website or directly through the organizers (see Article 14 for contacts). The entry fee per team is CZK 3,900.
The match system (Article 5) is designed for a minimum participation of 8 teams per category, or multiples of this number if parallel groups are created. The organizer reserves the right to set the final number of accepted teams based on venue capacity and establish the application deadline.
The sending club is responsible for registering only players who meet the age limit for the given category and hold a valid registration (roster) with the FAČR (Football Association of the Czech Republic) or an equivalent national association for foreign teams.
Every team must present a roster of players and team officials upon check-in; the organizer reserves the right to conduct random checks of team rosters and player identity documents.
4. Accommodation Packages
For teams traveling from outside the Olomouc district, a selection of accommodation packages is available so that each team can choose a option matching its needs. Choosing one of these packages is a mandatory condition of participation for visiting teams. Individual packages include accommodation and additional services based on the chosen option. Detailed contents and pricing are available in the "Accommodation on Request" offer.
5. Age Categories and Game Rules
The tournament features four categories: U8, U9, U10, and U11. Both the match system and field dimensions are based on the FAČR methodology "Small-Sided Football Rules" for younger and older grassroots categories:
Category Format Field (W × L) Goals Ball Throw-ins / Kick-ins
U8 4+1 (4 outfield + goalkeeper) 24–27 × 35–38 m 2 × 5 m Size 3 Hand throw-in, kick-in, or dribble-in
U9 4+1 (4 outfield + goalkeeper) 24–27 × 35–38 m 2 × 5 m Size 3 Hand throw-in, kick-in, or dribble-in
U10 6+1 (6 outfield + goalkeeper) 24–27 × 40–45 m 2 × 5 m Size 4 Hand throw-in only
U11 6+1 (6 outfield + goalkeeper) 24–27 × 40–45 m 2 × 5 m Size 4 Hand throw-in only
General provisions for all categories:
• Offside is not called.
• Substitutions are rolling ("hockey style") and unlimited—substitutions can be made at any time during open play via the team bench, provided the referee is notified.
• In the U8 and U9 categories, goal kicks played directly over the halfway line are prohibited; the ball must be played along the ground or via a short pass.
• In the U8 and U9 categories, the goalkeeper may handle the ball with their hands after a backpass from a teammate; in U10 and U11 categories, standard backpass rules apply (no handling).
• The maximum roster size per team is 13–15 players, including goalkeepers.
Indicative birth years for the 2026/2027 season (to be confirmed by the organizer in final notices): U8 = 2019 and younger, U9 = 2018, U10 = 2017, U11 = 2016.
6. Match System and Schedule – Guaranteed 14 Matches
The tournament is structured to guarantee each team 7 matches in the Saturday group stage and another 7 matches in the Sunday finals stage, totaling 14 matches of 15 minutes each over the weekend:
Day Stage Matches per Team Match Duration
Saturday, Mar 20, 2027 Preliminary Group (Round-robin) 7 matches 1 × 15 minutes
Sunday, Mar 21, 2027 Final Group by Placement (Round-robin) 7 matches 1 × 15 minutes
Saturday Group Stage
Teams in each category are drawn into preliminary groups of 8 teams. Each group plays a single round-robin format, meaning every team plays exactly 7 matches on Saturday against all other teams in its group.
Sunday Finals Stage
Based on final standings from Saturday, teams are regrouped into final groups of 8 teams based on performance level (e.g., Final A for 1st–8th place, Final B for 9th–16th place, etc., if multiple preliminary groups are run). The final groups also play a round-robin format for another 7 matches per team. Overall tournament placement corresponds to the final standing within these groups.
Match Duration
Every match—both in group and final stages—consists of 1 × 15 minutes of running time without a halftime break or swapping ends.
The schedule buffer between matches (typically 5 minutes for warm-up and field transitions) will be established by the organizer in the final schedule. In the event of delays, the Head Referee or Tournament Director will adjust operations (e.g., shortening breaks) to preserve the guaranteed 7 + 7 match count for every team.
7. Scoring and Group Tie-Breakers
Points are awarded as follows:
• Win = 3 points
• Draw = 1 point
• Loss = 0 points
If two or more teams finish tied on points at the end of group play, standings are determined by the following criteria in order:
1. Head-to-head match result (or mini-league table among tied teams)
2. Overall goal difference across all group matches
3. Total goals scored across all group matches
4. Coin toss / draw in the presence of representatives from the affected teams
8. Referees
Matches will be officiated by qualified referees assigned by the organizer in accordance with FAČR regulations.
The referee is authorized to suspend or prematurely terminate a match at any time due to unsportsmanlike conduct, player injury, or other serious circumstances; further proceedings are decided by the Tournament Director.
The referee's decisions on game facts are final. Procedures for organizational protests are detailed in Article 11.
9. Disciplinary Provisions and Fair Play
The tournament is played in the spirit of fair play. Gross unsportsmanlike behavior toward opponents, referees, organizers, or spectators is unacceptable.
Given the age of the grassroots players, educational disciplinary measures are used instead of traditional yellow/red cards—specifically a temporary 2-minute suspension ("time-out"), awarded at the referee's discretion.
In cases of severe rules violations or repeated misconduct, a player may be sent off for the remainder of the match or disqualified from the rest of the tournament at the discretion of the Tournament Director.
10. Medical and Safety Provisions
First aid personnel equipped for minor injury care will be present on-site for the duration of the tournament.
The sending club is responsible for ensuring its players are medically fit to compete and carry adequate injury insurance. Participation in the tournament is at the sending club's own risk.
Team managers and coaches are responsible for team conduct, safety, and supervision outside the field of play (locker rooms, side programs, accommodation).
11. Protests and Dispute Resolution
Any protest regarding a match result or organizational error must be submitted in writing by the Team Manager to the Tournament Director no later than 15 minutes after the end of the match in question.
Protests are reviewed without undue delay by the Tournament Director or the Tournament Committee. Their decision is final and non-appealable.
12. Awards and Closing Ceremony
The top three teams in each final group within a category will receive trophies or placement medals. Every participating player will receive a commemorative medal.
The organizer may also present individual awards (e.g., Best Player, Best Goalkeeper, Top Scorer) at their discretion.
The award ceremony will take place on Sunday immediately following the final matches of each category.
13. Organizational Instructions
Teams must arrive at their designated field at least 5 minutes before scheduled kickoff, properly equipped per organizer instructions (matching jerseys, shin guards, etc.).
Both venue complexes offer locker rooms, restroom facilities, and refreshments. Parking is provided directly adjacent to both venues.
Accommodation packages for non-local teams are arranged by the organizer on request—details and pricing will be published separately.
By participating in the tournament, the sending club consents to media capture (photography and video) for tournament promotional purposes, unless agreed otherwise with the organizer.
14. Force Majeure and Schedule Changes
The organizer reserves the right to modify the schedule, match format, or these rules due to adverse weather, technical issues, or other operational circumstances, while striving to preserve the guaranteed 7 + 7 match format.
If the tournament must be canceled early due to force majeure (e.g., severe weather conditions), final standings will be determined by group standings at the time of interruption.
15. Final Provisions
These rules are binding for all tournament participants throughout the event.
Matters not explicitly covered in these rules will be decided by the Tournament Director. Where applicable, current FAČR rules—specifically the "Small-Sided Football Rules" for grassroots categories—will apply.
